This session is mandatory for all postgraduate research students in their first year of study.  It is primarily aimed at students joining us in our March 2026 intake.

We are pleased to invite you to the Research Postgraduate Induction, jointly delivered by the Graduate School, Library and Students' Union.  This session will introduce you to the key services, resources and support available to help you succeed throughout your research degree.  You will learn about key faculty contacts, the structure of your doctoral studies,  the role of your supervisor, regulatory requirements around your project, managing expectations and support from the Graduate School.  The induction is a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow researchers and ensure you are fully prepared to begin your postgraduate journey.
